10 Display Gardens
Spread across 14 hectares encompassing 10 internationally themed gardens to explore, there is something for everyone, including the ever-popular Storybook Garden. 8km of pathways will lead you to spectacular vistas including a 10m high waterfall, topiary displays, man-made ponds, statues, murals, beautiful architectural structures and much more. In the Gardens there are 6,000 trees, 600,000 shrubs and over 1 million ground covers to discover from Australia and around the world.
5 Amazing Rides
Open during school holidays and event periods our 5 permanent rides add an air of excitement and fun to the Gardens for the young and young at heart. The rides include the Swing Chair, Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Superslide and Tea Cups. Rides are only available during event periods. Rides passes can be purchased from the rides ticket booth.
Multiple Awards
Hunter Valley Gardens have been the recipients of many awards since opening including the prestigious Hunter Valley Legends award from Hunter Valley Wine Tourism Association in 2019 awarded to Bill and Imelda Roche and Destination Sydney’s Gold Award in the Major Festival/Events Sydney North Regional category for Christmas Lights Spectacular in 2019.
Shopping Village
Located just outside the entrance to Hunter Valley Gardens, Hunter Valley Gardens Shopping Village is a unique collection of bespoke shops offering everything from a general store for all the basic essentials, delicious meals, lunchtime treats, coffee and wine to stunning jewellery, a chemist, hairdressing and beauty salon.
Accommodation
Hunter Valley Gardens offers a range of accommodation options. Harrigan’s Hunter Valley offers a range of options from studio rooms to 2 bedroom suites and are within a short walk of the Gardens through a dedicated path beside the vineyards. Mercure Hunter Valley Gardens offers 4 ½ star accommodation including studios, deluxe spa rooms, family rooms and suites and is perfectly situated next to the Gardens and across the road from the Roche Estate complex and concert venue.
